Transformational Concepts was created to be a strategic and financial resource to a select few startups. The startups we will work with will have shown a dedication to fostering innovation that provides social benefits and enhances the quality of life and well-being of individuals.

One specific area of focus is to work with companies that bring happiness and joy to seniors by helping counter the impacts of dementia, social isolation and other challenges faced by aging individuals. We know that it takes very little to make a huge difference in a person’s quality of life, especially if that person is a marginalized senior. A smile, a visit, a hug. Small actions have major impacts. We want to work with people who have heart and passion, and who are developing creative, scalable opportunities to share their hearts and to implement those passions.

In additional working with companies whose objective is to enhance the quality of life of seniors, we are open to reviewing additional ventures whose objective is to enhance the quality of life of individuals in other demographics or with different needs. Our ultimate goal is to have a positive social impact, and we are open to reviewing innovative startups that share a similar passion and objective.

Key Pillars

Passion Over Profit: Our mission centers on purpose, not profit. We seek out companies that share our dedication to making an impact because we believe true success is measured by the lives we touch. If a company meets our criteria, Fred Randall intends to make himself available if requested to provide consulting services, up to a specified amount, free of charge. No strings attached. If after working together we feel there is a fit, we can discuss what type of collaboration would be in both parties’ interests. Ultimately it would be our objective to make a financial investment in any company with which we intend to have a long term relationship. The goal would be that the company would succeed resulting in a positive impact on society. A positive return on our investment would then provide us with additional resources to fund additional ventures that share our values and passion for social impact.
Strategic Collaboration: Working closely with a select few startups, we will provide dedicated support, offering personalized guidance and strategic direction to help them achieve their goals. What resources we provide will be dependent on the venture’s needs as well as the extent of our interest in light of our resources. We have independent relationships with individuals from a wide variety of disciplines including finance, HR, technology, administration and marketing. Many of these individuals, some of whom are retired, have extensive experience in growing successful businesses. Whether any of these individuals choose to become part of the team servicing a client will be determined on a case by case basis.

Founded in January 2024, Transformational Concepts was born from a vision to support emerging startups that prioritize the well-being of individuals, particularly the elderly. We recognized the need for impactful health tech solutions that address age-related issues. Our goal is to build meaningful relationships with companies that are aligned with our values, to help them bring transformative solutions to life.

With over four decades of leadership and strategic expertise in the business and legal sectors, Fred is a retired corporate executive, lawyer, strategist and operator who has dedicated his career to counseling companies — from innovative startups to billion-dollar corporations. 

His expertise spans strategic planning and fundraising, as well as a wide range of issues critical to startups including corporate structuring, human resource matters, intellectual property, tax, litigation prevention, joint ventures, executive compensation and M&A.

In a world increasingly focused on specialization, Fred’s breadth of experience and knowledge enables him to navigate complex challenges and deliver creative, effective solutions.

Throughout his career, Fred has developed a deep emotional fondness for assisting entrepreneurs in succeeding.

Beyond his career accomplishments, Fred’s passion for helping people defines his work. Having witnessed the isolation and challenges faced by aging populations, Fred has developed a profound desire to support ventures that address these issues.

His achievements are indicative of his wide range of expertise.  He represented dozens of companies as outside counsel in their seed rounds of financing and, in many instances, through their IPO or sale.  As outside counsel he also represented numerous venture capitalists and investment bankers in financing transactions.  As General Counsel he led a startup through its initial rounds of financing and through its successful $186M IPO at a billion dollar plus valuation.  As an Executive he managed a social network company with international operations generating over $200M in revenue.  As a Board member and volunteer he spearheaded a project for a company serving the senior community that developed a protective shield allowing families to safely embrace their loved ones in care facilities during the pandemic.  As a philanthropist he has provided funds to numerous organizations whose objective is to enhance the health, safety and quality of life of individuals around the world.
